Dinner by the Lake Next Tuesday – Do you have your ticket?

Tuesday 13 August from 6 pm

Join the members of the Lake Macquarie Art Gallery Society and the Gallery Director for a special dinner in the conservatory of historic Awaba House, with its spectacular views of Lake Macquarie.

A highlight of the evening will be a talk by well-known journalist and author Scott Bevan. He will speak about the Gallery’s Shirley Firkin and Ruth Spenser Komon bequests and the art of collecting. The bequests especially feature works from the 1960s and 1970s by well-known Australian artists such as Sir William Dobell, Tom Gleghorn, John Coburn and Margaret Olley, many of whom the collectors knew personally.
