2nd Grade eNews

We know that Shiloh is a truly special place. Our students, parents, teachers and staff make Shiloh Christian School an amazing place to raise and educate the next generation of leaders. We are excited to announce that Shiloh was voted Best of the Best Medal Winner for Best Private School, Best Preschool, Best Elementary, Best Middle School and Best High School! Thank you for helping us win this great achievement!

Next Week

Bible - We will study the compassion of Jesus.
Memory Verse - Matthew 9:36, “When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd.” We will say the verse on Thursday.
Reading - Our story will be “Half Chicken” and we will work on the skill Cause and Effect.
Spelling - We will have our Spelling Test on Thursday.
Our words for this week have prefixes except our last two which are our review words: unhappy retell untangle unkind repaint refill unlike remake unpack reread unlock replay came want
Grammar - Irregular action verbs such as run/ran, come/came, sit/sat, hide/hid, tell/told, etc.
Math - We will be reviewing all the skills we have learned so far this year.

Important Dates

March 15 - NO SCHOOL - early start to Spring Break! :)
March 18-22 - NO SCHOOL - Spring Break
April 1-5 - This will be the week for Terra Nova Testing – we will begin at 8:15 a.m. until lunch time. Please do not schedule any doctor appointments before 11:00 this week if possible. Also, please be on time because we will begin right at 8:15 with tests.
April 18 - Easter and Speech Meet Chapel in Worship Center at 8:30 (more details to come)
April 19 - NO SCHOOL for Good Friday
May 23 - Last Day of School (tentative - if we have more snow days, this date could change)
