50,000 copies for Sold by Patricia McCormick

Further to the release of the movie in the US, sales of Patricia McCormick’s National Book Award Finalist novel Sold have rocketed. Directed and produced by an Oscar and Emmy award-winning team, including Executive Producer Emma Thompson, Director Jeffrey D. Brown, Producer Jane Charles, Co-Producer Katie Mustard and Writer Joseph Kwong, the movie stars David Arquette, Gillian Anderson and introduces Niyar who plays 13 year old protagonist, Lakshmi. Translation rights in the book have now been sold in twelve languages.


Hilarious Homemade Book Trailer for Gina Damico’s Hellhole

Hellhole is publishing in January 2015 and Gina Damico has put together a book trailer that will blow your mind. It should ne noted that in the course of making this video, Gina sacrificed one bag of Doritos, one bag of Utz Cheese Crunchies and one bad of Utz Cheese curls. Translation rights have been sold to Blanvalet in Germany at auction.


Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between – film rights pre-empted by TriStar

Jennifer E. Smith’s latest YA novel, Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between has been optioned by the film production company, TriStar, who pre-empted the purchase of film rights. It’s still very early stages for this project but the production of the film adaptation for Jennifer’s first YA title, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, is set to begin in early 2015. Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between tells the story of two childhood sweethearts who, on their last night before leaving for college, revisit the significant milestones in their relationship as they try to determine whether they will stay together.


Exciting pre-empts, new sales and reprints for the Oniria series by B.F. Parry

In addition to a Brazilian pre-empt by Verus Editora, we have now concluded multiple book deals in Spain with Bruno Editorial and in Vietnam with Women’s Publishing for the Oniria series.

Hachette in France have now reprinted an additional 5,000 copies of the first book in the series on top of the 10,000 copies already in print since its release in October. Amazing reviews have been pouring in and the novel was also selected by French daily newspaper Le Figaro as one of the Montreuil Children’s Book Fair highlights. The first three chapters of the first volume in the series have been translated into English and are now available for review.


News and review round-up for Shoot to Kill

It’s been a month since the publication of the new Young Bond title written by Steve Cole, Shoot to Kill, and the response has been brilliant. It’s garnered great reviews across the board and featured in some “best of 2014” lists for various publications, such as The Times, Mail on Sunday and Sunday Express. The Times gave Steve cole a ten out of ten for this turn at writing a Young Bond book describing it as “a master class in how to shake and stir”.
