Welcome | Hank & Kathy Stanley

This Sunday on the Carpinteria campus, we have the joy of welcoming Hank and Kathy Stanley. The Stanley's are long-term, native missionaries on the island of Roatan, Honduras. They are the founders of His Island Outreach, a ministry committed to the spiritual and physical transformation of the people of Roatan. They pastor the Alpha Community Church and are zealous to see the Gospel take root in their community.

For more information about Hank and Kathy, their ministry, and to receive monthly newsletters email: hankoutreach@gmail.com.

Global Spotlight | Dan & Meehan Shannon

The Carpinteria campus has the blessing of hearing from Dan and Meehan Shannon this Sunday. Dan and Meehan currently live in Denver, Colorado, but since they were married God has lead them on a crazy adventure living in both South Africa and Hawaii for a time. During this spotlight they will be giving an update on all the beautiful things God is leading their family into in this next season.

Daniel and Meehan Shannon are long-term missionaries who have spent a majority of their married life in South Africa and Northern India. This week, Daniel and Meehan are visiting Carpinteria at their home campus celebrating the 1 year birthday of their son, Ryder McCoy Shannon.

Four months after Daniel and Meehan were married, they moved from Santa Barbara to Cape Town, South Africa. While there, they focused on simple church planting within impoverished communities and worked with an NGO preventing baby dumping called, Baby Safe. Daniel and Meehan have also invested into Northern India since 2005, most recently forming a Bible course within a monastery for Tibetan Buddhist monks.

They have just been asked to take on the directorship of Baby Safe and are currently praying into this opportunity. In the mean time, the whole family will be going back to Northern India this summer to help continue a Bible course with the monks there.

For more information about Daniel and Meehan, their ministry, and to receive monthly newsletters email: dan.awaken@gmail.com.

Please join us every morning at 7am the week of April 14th-18th for a time of worship and prayer at the Ventura and Santa Barbara campuses.

Easter Book Spotlight | Ventura Campus

In light of Easter coming up and the historical importance of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ we wanted to make 2 important books available that address the most important questions anyone could ask such as: Why was Jesus Christ crucified? Why did he suffer so much? Did Jesus rise from the grave? What has this to do with me?

We have made available at our Resource Table Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die by John Piper and Scandalous by D.A. Carson for you to purchase after our Sunday gatherings.

Night for the Nations with Hank & Kathy Stanley

A special Night for the Nations will be held this Sunday, April 13th at 6pm at the Carpinteria campus. Come out for a time of worship, prayer and getting to know Hank and Kathy, Reality's missionaries in Roatan, Honduras. They will share about what God is doing in Roatan and how Reality can be praying and supporting God's work there.

Food Truck Sunday | Ventura Campus

This Sunday, April 13th at the Ventura campus, we will be having a few food trucks after the 1st and 2nd gathering, available for you and your family to purchase a meal and enjoy one another's company. It will be a great time for food, fun, and fellowship as we share a meal together.

Drinks will be on sale and served by our J•High students to raise funds for Summer Camp. It's our heart to make camp fun, impactful, and affordable for each student and family, and every bit of funds raised helps as many kids attend as possible. Thank you in advance for supporting our youth!

Prayer for the Coastlands

Join us on Tuesday, April 15th from 7pm to 8:15pm for Prayer for the Coastlands at the Santa Barbara offices. PFC is dedicated to praying for our local communities, our local missionaries, and for the glory of Christ in our coastlands. Come participate through prayer and fellowship in how God is moving and preserving hearts for mission in our cities.

Water Baptism

If you have recently become a Christian or have been a Christian for a long time and have never been baptized, the Ventura and Carpinteria campuses will be having baptisms on the following dates:

Baptism | Carpinteria Campus
Sunday, May 18th at 1pm at Carp Beach at the end of Palm Ave

Baptism & Baptism Class | Ventura Campus
Sunday, May 4th at 2:30pm at Harbor Cove Beach
The Ventura campus will be having a baptism class that is mandatory for those intending to be Baptized on Sunday, May 4th at 1:15pm in the Jr. High Room immediately following our 2nd gathering (childcare will be provided). The class will address and answer questions such as: What is baptism? Why should I be baptized? Who may be baptized? May I be baptized if I have been previously?

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day. (Acts 2:38 & 41, NLT)

The class will be team-taught and will cover biblical principles, practical advice and real-life experiences of engaging in prayer and spiritual battle for others and the Church.
