Happy Anniversary to Locally Lambton

It's been 15 years since the first Locally Lambton map was produced/launched.

The first map was launched at the Petrolia Farmers' Market June 2006, and with a barbeque at the Lions Hall park.

In celebration of the 15th Anniversary, we have produced and printed some new Locally Lambton signs (24x16 inch) that can either be placed in a window, or on your lawn (wire frame is included).

  • If you're on the map, let us know if you'd like a new sign.
  • If you're not on the map and would like a sign, Sign up here

New features available with the interactive website version of the map:

  • Participants on the new version of the web-based map now also receive social media promotion as part of their yearly marketing fee.
  • You may list in multiple categories if applicable, at no extra charge.
  • Your profile will have the ability to upload a logo, photos, and a free-form description.
  • Your profile will also be fully editable by you at all times.

If you need copies of the previously printed physical map to hand out, also let us know. We have lots available. You do not have to sign up for the website map in order to take them off our hands.

Airport Action Working Group

The LFA has also been participating in the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport Action Group, looking at opportunities into the future.

If anyone has ideas for increased usage of the airport to keep it open, or if any farms locally use air transportation for shipping cargo, or for passenger service on a regular basis, please let us know.

Other Updates:

As we approach our busy farming season, we want to remind everyone of the importance of being aware of farm machinery on our roads. All drivers, tractors, and cars need to obey traffic laws to keep our travels safe. A reminder to all drivers: be patient, follow all posted signs, and pass with care!

Stay tuned for some exciting projects coming up, with the LFA partnering with the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, Middlesex County Economic Development, and surrounding Federations on three separate long-term programs.
