Literacy: Students will complete reading groups. Students will read fluency passages. Students will take the Star Reading assessment to determine their current reading level. Students will write non fiction and fictional stories using the 5 finger method of writing.
Math: students will review all standards taught throughout the year
Bible: Students will learn about prayer
Science/SS: Students will learn about the ocean
Unit of Study: ocean

Reminders
Field Day is Monday, May 15th! Students need to wear their purple field trip shirt and shorts. We will have a cookout of hotdogs around 11:00. The activities will begin at 12:00 down by the Mileage Club field. The slip and slide will begin around 1:30. Students need to wear/bring sunscreen. Parents are welcome to attend any and all of the events. Students need to bring a towel and water bottle just like a normal Monday.
Students may wear free choice dress/ free choice hats for a $1.00 donation on Tuesday. We have a family in need that could use our help! Presley Schmidt’s uncle, aunt, and six-year-old male cousin, lost their entire house to fire. The family was out in the garden when it happened so they are all safe. The need is for everything right now so I thought we could help with a gift card. All donations will go to helping them in this time of need.
No school on Friday, May 19th.
Students need to bring an extra plastic sack on May 23rd for supplies.
The last Day of school is May 24th.
We will have an awards ceremony in the Cross Church Worship Center at 8:15. Students will need to arrive at the school by 8:00. Parents are welcome to drop off their child and go grab a seat.
Students are dismissed after the program. There will be no extended care provided on the last day.
Students will receive their fourth quarter report card on the last day of school.
Terra nova Test results will be distributed at the beginning of the next school year.
