INTERNATIONAL FASHION HOUSES CHOOSE KING’S CROSS FOR LONDON FASHION WEEK |

The world’s fashionistas descended on King’s Cross during this year’s London Fashion Week, as three shows rolled into N1C. Vivienne Westwood wowed in the German Gymnasium, Erdem did his thing under the West Handyside Canopy and Paul Smith took over The Crossing.
All this comes hot on the heels of the J.Crew pop up shop and Alexander McQueen’s show, establishing King’s Cross well and truly on the fashion map.

FOUR NEW RETAIL UNITS BECOME AVAILABLE, PRS FOR MUSIC TO ARRIVE AT PANCRAS SQUARE |

Two Pancras Square has topped out. A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party was held on the roof to mark the occasion. The milestone means that the building is on course to complete in mid-2014 with PRS for Music agreeing to take approximately 52,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.
The building will contain four retail units, ranging between 1,900 sq ft and 3,900 sq ft. With PRS for Music’s arrival and millions of square feet of office space in the immediate vicinity there will be a constant flow of office workers, commuters, residents and visitors looking to shop or grab a bite to eat around Pancras Square.

ARTHOUSE NEARS COMPLETION AND RESIDENTS SET TO MOVE IN THIS YEAR |

ArtHouse, the latest residential building at King’s Cross is due for completion in the next few weeks. During November, residents will move into the 143 apartments, conveniently located adjacent to the £18m Waitrose food and wine shop with cookery school set to open soon.
The dRMM designed building overlooks the Regent’s Canal and borders Handyside Gardens - a new park designed by acclaimed landscape architects Townshends and Dan Pearson. ArtHouse has just four retail units still available - two large retail units at street level and two retail kiosks facing Handyside Gardens.

GOOGLE’S REVOLUTIONARY 1M SQ FT UK HEADQUARTERS AT KING’S CROSS IS NOW UNDERWAY |

The 920,000 sq ft, 330m long “ground-scraper” will include a running track and roof-top swimming pool, and will form the centrepiece of the King’s Cross development with space for a significant number of retail units at ground level. Ground works are now underway and the construction of the building will begin in the next few months.
Camden Council has given Google’s new King’s Cross HQ the green light. Councillors voted unanimously to grant internet giant Google’s reserved matters planning application.

LUXURY ACCOMMODATION WITH SUPERB FACILITIES OPENS TO STUDENTS |

The new Urbanest building at King’s Cross, designed by Glen Howells, is now complete. It became home to around 670 students as the new academic year started last month. The building includes free 25MB broadband, Nintendo wii machines, table-tennis and table football, iMacs, TVs and 200 fold-up bikes. There is also an exhibition area, meeting suite, communal areas, a number of ‘sky gardens’ and a café.
