GCRCIC and HTC Announced Recipients of TETF Awards
The Gulf Coast Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (GCRCIC) announced two new Commercialization awards to area start-up companies at the Houston Technology Center (HTC) Technology Champions® event on Friday, August 3rd. HTC Welcomes New NASA Executive on Loan, Pat Kidwell
Pat Kidwell,
NASA Executive on Loan,
Johnson Space Center

Mr. Kidwell is the NASA Executive on Loan for the aerospace sector. He has extensive public sector business management experience and has worked with senior NASA program and project managers for over 25 years. His business experience includes human-rated space flight hardware manufacturing, software development, launch and landing processing, mission operations, and systems integration.  He has had management and leadership positions at the Johnson Space Center in the chief engineer, chief financial officer, safety, and risk sciences organizations. Currently, he manages the Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate’s strategic initiatives with leadership roles in strategic planning, innovation management, and new business development.

Resident Spotlight
Ada Liu

Ada Liu was born and raised in China. After college, she came to the U.S. to pursue her postgraduate degree and obtained her Master’s Degree in Food Science from the University of Massachusetts. She has experience in consumer behavior analysis, market research, business improvement, and organic certification.
She is interested in sustainable development, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. She currently assists HTC with sustainability research and various energy projects. For her next project, she plans to be a sustainability integrator of health, safety, environmental and social considerations for an organization; to engage, build and leverage a network of internal and external stakeholders.

TiE Texas Funding Forum 2012
