NWT TOURISM RELEASES SURVEY RESULTS FOR "TOURISM INDUSTRY COVID-19 IMPACTS AND PROGRAM SUPPORTS"

 

Dear Valued Tourism Stakeholders

As part of our ongoing efforts made on behalf of the tourism economy in the Northwest Territories, NWT Tourism created a survey which was sent to tourism industry stakeholders earlier this fall.  The questions were designed to enable us to obtain data that measures the impact of Covid-19 on the businesses in the industry. We would like to share the results of the survey with all of you.

The survey opened on August 21st and closed on September 10th. There were 94 respondents to the survey. We would like to thank each and every one of you who filled out the survey. Your input is valued and very much appreciated. We are stronger together!

Prize Winners: Survey respondents were invited to input their email address to be entered into a draw for a prize of $500. The winners were selected in a random draw. The winners were:

Already, we are using the survey results in our advocacy discussions to ensure an understanding of the reality our tourism industry is facing, given the impacts of COVID-19. NWT Tourism is continuing tourism advocacy efforts with all levels of government as the tourism industry grapples with the effects of the pandemic.
