    Catastrophe Information

Hurricane season is right around the corner, as we get closer to the season we are asking all carriers to update your catastrophe contact information located in your SLIP account.

In case of a catastrophic event, Florida insureds may be unable to contact your office and often look to the FSLSO for assistance. Therefore, we need all carriers to update this information annually.

      How?

Sign into your SLIP account, hover over the Reports tab, and select File Catastrophe Data. From the display dropdown please complete the required fields and click Save at the bottom of the page.

If the information has not changed simply click the NO button and you will receive a prompt stating no new changes were made as an indicator that you successfully submitted.

If you have any questions or need assistance please contact insurer.services@fslso.com or call 800.562.4496 option 2.

      Transaction Effective Dates

With the first quarter wrapping up we want to remind you to remember to use the effective date on your submissions.

When filing your transaction submissions, make sure to use effective date as opposed to receive date. The transaction effective dates must be within the reporting period.

Premium totals you submit may not reflect an accurate amount for the reporting period. Transactions included in the batch that need to be submitted (prior reporting period) but do not have an effective date during the reporting period will not be included in the reporting period’s total premium amount.

Reporting period due dates are as follows.

      January 1 — March 31
      Due By: June 30

      April 1 — June 30
      Due By: September 30

      July 1 — September 30
      Due By: December 31

      October 1 — December 31
      Due By: March 31
