Tuesday, July 25, 2017, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.The National Press Foundation is hosting a one-day workshop for journalists about what’s at stake on mental health and substance abuse issues in the current political landscape. Expert speakers will provide an overview of 40 years of behavioral health advances; implications of reforms under consideration; tensions between payers and providers; language and stigma/discrimination;
and ways to incorporate solutions journalism into your work. Funding for this training was provided by Rick Kellar Margaret Clarke Morgan Foundation, Joni Schwager Staunton Farm Foundation, Anne Marie Healy 1st Hospital Foundation, The Scattergood Foundation and The Carter Center.

Seminars: October 8 - 11 Each year, the National Press Foundation offers two all-expenses-paid fellowships for the annual Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
