Charity and Community Service Activities -- Operation Red Nose Needs Volunteers!
Red Nose Week 4 Update
The popular Operation Red Nose designated driver program is on pace to break last year's ORN record of 1,428.
The fourth weekend is the busiest if history dictates, so they really need volunteers this coming weekend -- especially with a smaller pool of athlete volunteers to draw from as the term ends.
Over the years, hundreds of community partners, thousands of rides and thousands of volunteer hours have added up to significant support for Pronghorn Athletics.
If the pace continues at this rate, the solid core of volunteers will need some help. In particular the group is looking for volunteers Dec. 20 to 22 and for New Year’s Eve.
If you or a group are interested in helping out, please contact Pronghorn Athletics (403 329-2681) or go to www.gohorns.ca for a volunteer application.
December dates are as follows:
Dec. 20, 21, 22
Dec. 31

University of Lethbridge President Mike Mahon will be carted off to 'prison' mid January for charges which relate to taking his zeal for campus fitness to extremes -- providing a fleet-footed team of law enforcement officials can catch him.
It is truly hard to imagine the that the charges levelled against the affable, and active, veteran administrator and researcher are true, but there is no arguing with items posted on the Internet. Read more here.
