BelongToLast week, at a press and stakeholder conference in Government buildings, Ministers Fitzgerald, Reilly and White announced measures to deal with alcohol misuse, minimum unit pricing and regulation of advertising and sponsorship to be provided for in a Public Health Bill.

Limerick Harm Reduction Treatment Programme for individuals who misuse cannabis

The HSE Mid West Drug & Alcohol Service has piloted a group treatment programme in Limerick for individuals who are considering changing their pattern of cannabis (weed/hash) use.

It may be of particular interest to those who have identified problems as a result of their use and those who are concerned about developing a dependency.

Potentially fatal new substances found in Northern Ireland

An update by the Chief Medical Officer in Northern Ireland in relation to previous information about potentially fatal substances has been released.

The previous information raised concerns about tablets known as "Speckled Red or Brown Cherries."

These tablets are red/brown or red/grey in colour, with a cherry logo stamped on them.
