For years, the Young Adult and Campus Ministries Office has created Advent Meditation Guides. In the past, these have been printed in booklets and PDF documents. This year, we are taking it virtual by inviting young adults and people who work and minister with young adults to write a blog post for each day of Advent as well as submit artwork for the site.
Our hope is that this daily blog will foster connections, give people the chance to comment, and give us the opportunity to do this ministry in a new way. In connecting young adults and young adult ministries with one another we seek to continue to bridge communities, support one another, and share our spiritual journeys. We hope this will be one way in which we can connect people as we journey through Advent together.
Our writers have either written a blog or created a video for each day of Advent. The daily scripture will follow the daily readings for Advent found in Lesser Feasts and Fasts/Holy Women, Holy Men and will vary between Old Testament, Psalm, and Gospel.
You can sign up to receive this blog each day of advent by going to episcopalcommons.org. On the left-hand side of the page, click "Follow" and you will receive a reminder each day, beginning on December 2 and continuing through December 25.
