The Week Ahead at the UN Security Council

On Wednesday morning (26 September), the Security Council will hold a summit-level meeting on countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The main aim of the meeting, which will be chaired by US President Donald Trump, is to discuss ways the Council can better enforce resolutions on non-proliferation.

On Thursday morning (27 September), there will be a ministerial-level meeting on denuclearisation efforts on the Korean peninsula. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to chair the meeting.
