OneMain Financial lights up the Bricktown CanalOneMain Financial’s Bricktown Canal Lights will brighten your Bricktown experience throughout the 10th annual Downtown in December, presented by Devon. All ages are invited to watch OneMain flip the switch to light up the Canal for the holiday season this Saturday, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy: - fun giveaways for great prizes, including a Kindle Fire “We are thrilled to be involved in this year’s Downtown in December events," said Oklahoma-native and OneMain Financial area director Dolan Pederson. Kick Off Downtown in December at the SandRidge tree lighting ceremony with Mayor Mick Cornett The SandRidge Tree Lighting Ceremony serves as the perfect kickoff for Downtown in December, presented by Devon. With Santa and Mayor Mick Cornett to hit the lights, the 32 foot-tall tree located on the Bricktown Canal on Mickey Mantle Drive stands as the centerpiece for the month-long celebration. Free activities include: live music by the Groove Merchants, professional pictures with Santa, make-your-own-ornament craft, face painting, cookies from Nonna's, and hot cocoa from CocoFlow. Chevy Bricktown Showcase offers glimpse inside OKC music sceneThe new season of the Chevy Bricktown Showcase, sponsored by the Oklahoma Chevy Team Dealers, launched on Friday, June 3 on News9 with local pop/rock artist Matt Stansberry. The Chevy Bricktown Showcase is a mini-documentary series that explores the vast wealth of talent emanating from the Oklahoma City Music scene, inviting the viewer to come along and "hang with the band" for a day. A new episode will launch every Friday morning on News9 at 7:25 a.m., and the videos, artist profiles and free song downloads will be featured on WelcomeToBricktown.com.
