Project 180 Public Meeting Downtown workers, business owners and stakeholders are invited to attend one of two public meetings on new Project 180 construction that begins mid July on Hudson from Park to Reno; Sheridan from Walker to E.K. Gaylord and Robinson from Park to Sheridan. The meetings will be held TODAY at noon and 6 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall, 200 N Walker. Both meetings will cover the same information. Those interested in booking a presentation for their organization or business meeting can call 297-2130.
First Person: Stories of Hope Survivors and others affected by the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building will share their stories during a weekly series, "First Person: Stories of Hope," this summer. Each week until August 26, a different survivor, family member or worker will speak on Fridays at 1:30 p.m. in the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum's Center for Education and Outreach. The presentations are free with paid admission to the museum, which is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, military members or students. 2011-12 Thunder Schedule Released Get ready to Thunder Up with the newly released 2011-2012 Thunder schedule. The Thunder will open the regular season at the L.A. Lakers on Nov. 1 and will play its home opener Nov. 4 against the Indiana Pacers. The Thunder will appear in 27 nationally televised games. See the full schuedule here.
Devon Energy Sunday Twilight Concert Series Enjoy a concert every Sunday on the newly renovated Grand Lawn at the Myriad Gardens. These FREE concerts run through August 28. Barons first six homes games announced The Oklahoma City Barons will open their 38-game home slate October 15 at the Cox Convention Center. In addition to the home opener, the Barons will play at home October 28, November 18, December 9, December 31 (New Years Eve) and January 27. These dates are in addition to the Barons home game slated for November 8, which has been designated as Field Trip Day. Ticket packages are currently available. Individual game tickets will go on sale later this summer. Archi-Treasure Hunt Through a fun and competitive experience, participants will find architectural gems in the Oklahoma City area. During a five week period, photographs of historic building details will appear in various forms of media (print, television, web etc). The public is invited to enter the competition by finding the address of the building to which each detail belongs. Photographs for the Archi-Treasure competition will appear each Friday here and on the AIA Facebook page. Week 2 forms are due by TODAY Thursday, July 21. Check back tomorrow for the Week 3 photos. Entries can be made by using the paper entry form or ONLINE. Entries are limited to one (1) per household, per week. A weekly winner will be randomly selected from the entries with the most correctly identified locations. All weekly entries with a perfect four-out-of-four identification will also be eligible for the Grand Prize Award. The Grand Prize Award will be drawn at random from the perfect weekly entries. The Grand Prize will be awarded on Saturday, August 20th at the Preservation EXPO. For more information contact architreasure@cox.net.
Historic Preservation Expo The Historic Preservation EXPO: Supporting Sustainable, Livable Communities will take place August 19 and 20 at the Cox Convention Center. The EXPO will provide exposure to local resources, available materials, demonstrations booths and the latest sustainable and preservation sources.

METRO Transit Offers Free Bus RidesMetro Transit is offering FREE rides on the third Friday of each month during ozone alert season, through September. Any time on August 19 or September 16, on any route in the Greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area, METRO Transit bus rides are free for everyone. In addition to free rides on the third Friday, METRO Transit will be partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer incentives for people who ride the bus.

24 Works on Paper 24 Works on Paper, a travelling exhibition of work by living Oklahoma artists, is now open to the public at the Individual Artists of Oklahoma (IAO) Gallery, 706 W. Sheridan Ave. in Oklahoma City. Produced as a collaboration between Individual Artists of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), the exhibition will then travel the state for a full year, bringing original, contemporary Oklahoman artwork to viewers in communities large and small. The exhibition features 24 artists from 8 Oklahoma cities. All artworks are created on paper and include media such as printmaking, drawing, painting and photography. The exhibition will continue at Individual Artists of Oklahoma (IAO) Gallery through August 5. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, Noon-6 pm. It will then travel to venues across Oklahoma.
