DOKC treats downtown employees to 5 days of free funIf you work in downtown OKC, we have 5 days of free events lined up for you next week. Downtown Employee Appreciation Week is happening March 4-8 and it's all designed to celebrate downtown OKC’s workforce. Here's what's happening:

Explore local art in Bricktown tonightRAW: Natural Born Artists returns to downtown OKC tonight, Feb. 28. This one-of-a-kind event exposes the community to local artists who will showcase visual art, film, fashion, music, hair and makeup artistry, photography, performing arts and more - all in one place! The show will be held at Jazmo'z Bourbon Street Cafe from 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. Tickets are available online for $10 and at the door for $15. For more info, visit rawartists.org/oklahomacity.
Hog Jog to support Limbs for LifeHead to Bricktown on Friday, Mar. 8 to participate in the first ever Hog Jog 5k Run. The run is hosted by Edmond Memorial High School to benefit Limbs for Life. It's their goal this year to raise $350,000 for this worthy cause, so let's help them out! The race will begin at the Limbs for Life office (218 E. Main in Bricktown) at 9 a.m. and check in begins at 7 a.m. on race day. Prizes will be given to the top the finishers in each age division and additional prizes will be given to the top three overall finishers. Registration is $25 in advance and $30 on race day. The Wedge to serve up unlimited pizza and beer next week Tuesday, Mar. 5 will be a great day for beer and pizza lovers. The Wedge Pizzeria in Deep Deuce is hosting their Wedge Beer Party at 7 p.m. where guests are invited to enjoy all-you-can-drink local beer and all-you-can-eat pizza. Seriously, it really doesn't get any better than that.
$20 gets you in the door and if you have a Keep It Local card, admission is only $15. If you don't have a Keep It Local card, you can pick one up for $10 at several metro locations, or online at keepitlocalok.com.

Lights, Camera, EGG-tion
Immerse yourself in Hollywood, both past and present, at the action-packed 29th annual Omelette Party benefitting the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Lights, Camera, EGG-tion! will highlight the Museum’s film program, which brings independent, foreign and classic films to Oklahoma City, and its importance in fulfilling the mission of enriching lives through the visual arts.
Sesame Street Live comes to the Cox Convention Center Treat the kids to a night out in downtown OKC. Sesame Street Live will hit the stage at the Cox Convention Center Friday, Mar. 15 - Sunday, Mar. 17. Here's the performance schedule:
Friday, Mar. 15: 10:30 a.m. & 7 p.m. Ticket prices start at $15. On Opening Night at 7 p.m., all seats are $11 (excluding Gold Circle and Sunny Seats). Group rates are also available by calling 405.602.8710. Before the show, visit Play Zone - a fun way for children to experience their favorite street. Sing and dance with Sesame Street friends, sit in Big Bird's nest, twirl in Zoe's dance studio, sit on the steps of 123 Sesame Street, and much more. Cellist Zuill Bailey Performs with OKC PHIL Music Director Joel Levine leads the Oklahoma City Philharmonic in a performance titled "Force of Destiny" on Saturday, Mar. 2, at 8 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Civic Center. Joining Maestro Levine as as featured soloist in the Cello Concerto in C major by Franz Joseph Haydn is acclaimed performer Zuill Bailey. Playing at the top of his game, Zuill Bailey has been touring the U.S. and Europe for many years. In the 2012-2013 season, he's presented concerts and recitals in London, Rotterdam, and Wimbledon as well as Phoenix, Cleveland, Buffalo and throughout Alaska. An acclaimed teacher as well as a soloist, Zuill Bailey will lead a master class in Oklahoma City at Oklahoma City University on Friday, Mar. 1, at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The master class is free and open to the public. Tickets range from $15 to $65 and are available through the OKC Philharmonic box office (428 West California), by calling 405-TICKETS (842-5387), or online at okcphilharmonic.org.
Get your learn on at the Downtown College
There's still time to enroll in classes at OKC Downtown College. The Downtown College offers a variety of languages at convenient times, including conversational Spanish, Chinese, or Portuguese. There are also fitness classes like Zumba, Pilates, or the new noon hour Fitness Fusion class (a variety of low-impact work outs). If you're feeling artsy, Understanding Art in OKC is a unique art appreciation class that meets at the OKC Museum of Art and other locations in OKC.
Bruno Mars to perform in OKC Bruno Mars will bring "The Moonshine Jungle World Tour" to Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena Saturday, Aug. 10 with special guest Ellie Goulding. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1 and can be purchased at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online through Ticketmaster. Red Earth Run The annual Red Earth Run will take place on Saturday, Mar. 9 along the trails of the Oklahoma River, with a start and finish at Oklahoma City's Wheeler Park. The event features a 5K, a 1-Mile Fun Walk and other family-friendly activities. If you're not up for the 5k, the Challenge Cup allows 5 runners from the same tribe or company to compete relay style. Pre-registration is $25 for adults and $20 for students (age 18 and under). Registration includes a Red Earth Run t-shirt. For more information, visit redearth.org.
Teen board hosts 10k & 5k run through OKCThe Teen Board of the Oklahoma Heritage Association will host its first annual Oklahoma Heritage Land Run 10k, 5k and 100-meter Boot Scoot Dash on Saturday, Mar. 9 to benefit Oklahoma education programming at the Oklahoma Heritage Association. The event will be held at the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, at the corner of N.W. 13th and Shartel, and consists of a 10k run at 7:30 a.m., 5k run at 8:30 a.m. and a 100-meter dash at 9 a.m. The 10k and 5k race route goes through Heritage Hills and Midtown Oklahoma City. Participants of the 100-meter dash as encouraged to wear cowboy boots. There will also be awards, food and drinks. Registration for the 10k is $35, 5k is $25 and the 100-meter dash is $15. All levels include a t-shirt, technical shirts are available for an additional $5. Group discounts are also available. Registration will be available on the day of the event, but the entry fee will be an additional $5 per race level and there is no guarantee that shirts will be available.
