The SGS is excited to announce that Jaime Iwaasa recently joined the SGS team as our new Administrative Assistant.

Jaime will be up at the front desk with Lorie Peter. Her primary role will be assisting current students throughout their graduate journey and providing administrative support to various SGS committees. Welcome aboard Jaime!

e-Thesis Submission System Available

The University of Lethbridge Library and the School of Graduate Studies are excited to announce that the e-Thesis Submission system is now available for all graduate students in thesis-based programs.

Graduate students, supervisors, supervisory committee members, and Thesis Oral Defence chairs are strongly encouraged to review the revised thesis format regulations and e-thesis submission procedures outlined in each graduate program’s Policies & Procedures manuals.

Instructions for submitting a PDF copy of the final thesis document are available on the SGS website.

Scheduling of a PhD Thesis Defence

A policy change has been made to the timeline for requesting the thesis oral defence as outlined in the Doctor of Philosophy Program Policies & Procedures. The Request for Thesis Examination form must now be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies at least 6 weeks prior to the proposed scheduled defence.

Did you know...

students in the MA, MSc, PhD, MFA, and MMus programs, can request a semester extension to their program by completing a Progress and Standing report that includes a detailed timeline to defence?

A revised Approved Program of Studies form will be provided, pending approval by the Dean, SGS.
