It’s not very often that an opposition party in Prince Edward Island makes national – and international! – news. But that’s exactly what happened this week when the Green Party captured enough seats to become the official Opposition, something the party has never achieved before in Canada. Political scientist Matto Mildenberger monitors the Green Party around the world and explains why the P.E.I. breakthrough could bode well for the party in this year’s federal election.

And finally…it’s the 100th anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike, one of the most important labour events in Canada’s history.
