Think you know Sydney? Think again.

Western Sydney is quickly becoming the Harbour City's second centre and it's just a train ride away. With Western Sydney International Airport welcoming its first domestic and international passengers in the coming months, this vibrant, diverse region is about to become a new gateway to exploring Australia.

This edition reveals a different side of Sydney, with fresh reasons to explore further and discover more of Australia’s most visited city.

Sydney, beyond the postcard

Sydney’s iconic harbour, beaches and landmarks are just the beginning. Along the horizon, Western Sydney stretches to the Blue Mountains and from Hawkesbury to Picton and promises visitors a vibrant mix of adventure, culture, flavours and premier sport and entertainment venues, shaped by communities from across the globe.

From riding the waves at URBNSURF Sydney and coming face-to-face with Australian wildlife at Sydney Zoo, to family outdoor adventures and uncovering local stories with Diamond Tours and Discover Picton Tours, visitors can experience an array of immersive experiences in Western Sydney.  The region’s thriving arts and culture scene is also taking centre stage, with Australia's newest cultural landmark, Powerhouse Parramatta , opening late 2026.

Spanning key precincts including Parramatta, Penrith, Blacktown and Hawkesbury Western Sydney is one of the most diverse places on the planet and its street eats scene reflects that.

Accommodation options including PARKROYAL Parramatta, Novotel Sydney Olympic Park,  Rydges Parramatta and Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley provide premium options for distribution partners to create itineraries that encourage visitors to stay longer and explore further.
