Summer is coming…

We already welcome and embrace the summer sun in Barcelona. So, I put my grumpy winterish mood aside
and started walking for hours on the streets with joy and my old companion, the drawing kit.
I also visited Morocco and have really good news from my hometown Paris.
Here is what is happening before the summer officially arrives..

In 1853, Aigle revolutionised the world of footwear by using rubber as its core material for boot manufacture.
Boots continue to be made by hand at Ingrandes, France near Chatellerault, and nowaday are part of a wide collection of prêt-à-porter.
I have the pleasure to illustrate Aigle spring/summer collections of 2013.

Aigle / Lookbook:

Aigle has invited me to illustrate their lookbook of spring/summer collections "vêtement" and "botte & chaussure", to focus on the 2 main value of the brand: heritage and tradition.

Aigle / Window:

My illustrations have traveled through their " family house" until the destinations like Stockholm, Corse and Lisboa to redesign their windows.

Aigle / Saint-Germain-des-Prés:

During the restoration of their concept store in the heart of Paris,
I have projected what the store would look like afterwards
on the 12m surrounding façade through my pen and colors.

Morocco:

One of my main inspiration was totally fulfilled by the visit I have realized to Morocco last month.
I was invited to sketch some old cars in Sidi al Mokhtar, a small town between Marrakech and Essaouira also known as "Peugeot Ville". On wednesday for the souk all the Peugeot 404 met on the main street to buy butane (they run with gas instead of gasoline), food and goats (which they carry on the roof of the cars).
I spent the whole day sketching this fascinating antiquities, that must have driven more than a million km, in an extraordinary atmosphere.
