Welcome to the Australian Grape and Wine Authority

Andreas Clark, Acting Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to the first edition of the Australian Grape and Wine Authority’s R&D e-newsletter.

With the merger of the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation and the Wine Australia Corporation to create the Australian Grape and Wine Authority (AGWA), we enter an exciting new phase for the Australian grape and wine sector.

The merger will enable our research and development (R&D), market development and compliance activities from vine to glass to become more streamlined and deliver a better return to our grape and wine sector.

I am delighted to be working more closely with the grape and wine R&D community, ensuring that AGWA remains committed to extracting the full value of our current and future R&D investments across the whole value chain.

I look forward to working with our new Board, stakeholders and the great teams from GWRDC and Wine Australia to help support a competitive Australian wine sector.

Information on the new authority can be found at www.agwa.net.au.
