Keeping you in touch No images? Click here Hello! Well, after what felt like the longest January since the dawn of time, we’re already a third of the way through February! A month that has already given us the best series of tweets ever seen (look up ‘Weetabix and beans’ if you haven’t seen it) and another epic Zoom fail with the now infamous cat filter. But, away from these momentary distractions, life is still tough. Even now some are juggling home-schooling whilst working from home, others may be facing strain in their relationships, and families continue to grieve the loss of their loved ones. We recognise this is not an easy place to be in. So to support you in this, we have created a specific podcast speaking into this challenging season, as well as new articles and videos which are readily available for you to dip into when you need that little bit of encouragement to get through the day. We hope you find something that speaks to you. It may not feel like it at the moment, but we really do believe that in the darkest moments there is still hope. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, if you need a listening ear or support. The Care for the Family Team Home-schooling and working from home For many of us, one of the biggest challenges of this current lockdown will be juggling working from home and home-schooling. With both demanding our time and attention, it can be overwhelming but remembering to be kind to yourself and flexible for both you and your children can really help. We've put together some tips for those who find themselves in this situation. And if you're a couple both working from home, here are some ideas to help ease the pressure you may be feeling. Family Life Podcast We recently recorded a new podcast series to support families during this time. Rob Parsons and Katharine Hill, join host Stephen Hayes to discuss the challenges that many families will be facing. They share advice and tips on how parents can navigate lockdown, and cover topics such as, screen time, home-schooling, social media and mental wellbeing. The Dad Cave In a pre-COVID world, we recorded a series especially for dads, to look at some of the things that often don't get talked about when it comes to fatherhood. In The Dad Cave podcast, Mark Chester and Stephen Hayes (yes, him again) are joined by a variety of guests to discuss a plethora of topics. Such as, the role of a dad, stay-at-home dads, building relationships with our children and more. And mums don't worry, we haven't forgotten you! Our brand new series, The Mum Show, has just been released and takes a look at all things motherhood. COVID-19 Support Back in March last year, at the beginning of the pandemic, we put together a whole bunch of videos and articles to offer support to families during this time. We've added new content to this over the last couple of months and hope they will provide help to couples, parents and those who have been bereaved. Find out more about We always love to hear how we’ve been able to support you, and the positive impact our work has had on you and your family.
