Come along and taste the best fizz from around the world; from the Classic Grande Marque Champagnes to sought-after English Sparkling Wines, Italy's Best Franciacortas and Proseccos and the chance to buy Olly's new book Fizz before anyone else!  He will be there to sign and personalise copies on the night.

BUMBLEBEE CONSERVATION TRUST

We're buzzing at Olly Towers with the news that Olly has become a patron of this amazing charity, The Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

As a keen beekeeper himself, he is thrilled to be getting to know our bumblebees better and we're looking forward to sharing Olly’s adventures with the Trust and hope you will join in too – check out their website here.

This is a total bargain with sackloads of intense buzzing raspberry beauty at a fiercely competitive price. Proof, if it were needed, that cava can be cracking. And I also love the tentacles on the label!

Brilliance: Pittnauer Perlkönig Pét-Nat 2017 (10.5%) £19.50 The Wine Society. For something to wow with from off the beaten track, pop this Austrian excellence. Think of a strawberry dipped in sherbet radiating a sunny glow from deep within its core and you’re close to the character of this zesty dazzler. Under crown cap, this is made in the ancient way (méthode ancestrale) bottled before fermentation is complete absorbing CO2 into the wine. Unfiltered, irresistible and joyful.

Blow Out: Breaky Bottom Cuvée Koizumi Yakumo Brut Traditional Method 2010 (12%) £36.95 Corney and Barrow. England expects? England delivers. Peter Hall, the living legend, makes this superb lazer festival of defined and delicious citrus splendour. Laced with layers, this is utterly splendid Seyval Blanc and shows how incredibly satisfying English wine can be after a few years in bottle. I’ve bought several cases and will drink it as well as lay some down - if I can resist its charms! So good it makes me happy even thinking about it. Chill, pop and smile.
