Hail Hot Bottlers!

Crack open the bubbly! We're only a fortnight away from the launch of Olly's brand new book 'FIZZ'!

Out on 16th May, Fizz is a fabulous collection of 80 joyful cocktails and mocktails.  Each recipe is united by fizz, be it Champagne, cava, cider, prosecco, beer, tonic, soda or kombucha with something for every occasion and plenty of booze-free bubbles alongside the classics to suit all tastes.

From the delicate elderflower and orange blossom Free Fizz to the dangerously drinkable, disco-friendly Rebujito, there’s a moreish mocktail or a potent punch for everyone.

Order a limited edition, personalised, signed copy now, hot off the press by clicking here and be amongst the very first to get Fizz! (dispatch on 16th May)

Thursday 9th May, East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf

To get you in the fizzy mood, join Olly, Tim Atkin MW & Oz Clarke back in the East Wintergardens for the Fizz event of the year.

Come along and taste the best fizz from around the world; from the Classic Grande Marque Champagnes to sought-after English Sparkling Wines, Italy's Best Franciacortas and Proseccos and the chance to buy Olly's new book Fizz before anyone else!  He will be there to sign and personalise copies on the night.

Last remaining tickets available here.

We're buzzing at Olly Towers with the news that Olly has become a patron of this amazing charity, The Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

As a keen beekeeper himself, he is thrilled to be getting to know our bumblebees better and we're looking forward to sharing Olly’s adventures with the Trust and hope you will join in too – check out their website here.

We hope you've been enjoying watching Olly on BBC Saturday Kitchen with a roll out of ever brilliant guests and chefs!

Saturday Kitchen has been nominated in the best programme category in the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards so let's raise a glass on 16th May - always great to get a nod!

A very special brand new series of A Glass With is in full swing celebrating the launch of P&O's new cruise ship 'Iona' next year.

First guest is Mr Showbusiness himself, Jonny Wilkes who talks to Olly about, among other things, his fantastic on-board show 'Astonishing' that he has developed with Stephen Mulhern.

Sit back, open a bottle of bubbly and treat your earbuds while booking your next P&O Cruise on board Iona here!

Bargain: M&S Cava Rosado NV (12%) £7. All the bubbles you’ll ever need for the Great British summer. This is a total bargain with sackloads of intense buzzing raspberry beauty at a fiercely competitive price. Proof, if it were needed, that cava can be cracking. And I also love the tentacles on the label!

Brilliance: Pittnauer Perlkönig Pét-Nat 2017 (10.5%) £19.50 The Wine Society. For something to wow with from off the beaten track, pop this Austrian excellence. Think of a strawberry dipped in sherbet radiating a sunny glow from deep within its core and you’re close to the character of this zesty dazzler. Under crown cap, this is made in the ancient way (méthode ancestrale) bottled before fermentation is complete absorbing CO2 into the wine. Unfiltered, irresistible and joyful.

Blow Out: Breaky Bottom Cuvée Koizumi Yakumo Brut Traditional Method 2010 (12%) £36.95 Corney and Barrow. England expects? England delivers. Peter Hall, the living legend, makes this superb lazer festival of defined and delicious citrus splendour. Laced with layers, this is utterly splendid Seyval Blanc and shows how incredibly satisfying English wine can be after a few years in bottle. I’ve bought several cases and will drink it as well as lay some down - if I can resist its charms! So good it makes me happy even thinking about it. Chill, pop and smile.

Thanks for all your support, keep in touch and remember to share the fizz and this newsletter far and wide.
