HTC Client Bluenergy Solarwind and Texas A&M to Collaborate on
Wind Turbine Development
HTC Client Bluenergy Solarwind, Inc. has announced the award of a collaborative project with Texas A&M University’s Energy Institute and Department of Aerospace Engineering to continue development of a family of small wind turbines including a novel, hybrid solar-wind turbine.

Houston Technology Center and Johnson Space Center Celebrate Grand Opening of New Acceleration Center at JSC

(HTC) in conjunction with NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) celebrated the grand opening of the HTC offices within the JSC Acceleration Center on the JSC Campus in historic Building 35 on Thursday, November 29.

In a major milestone for the Houston Technology Center (HTC) and the Clear Lake/NASA community, Johnson Space Center (JSC) and the HTC officially opened the doors to the JSC Acceleration Center offices. The focus will be to provide entrepreneurs and startup companies access to HTC’s entrepreneurial and technical expertise as they explore opportunities to commercialize NASA technologies. HTC’s presence at the JSC will include client incubation and acceleration, client recruitment and screening processes with the support of strategic partners, expert advisors and the extensive HTC and NASA JSC community, to translate innovative ideas to commercialization. “The capability for human exploration of space developed in the JSC community is unprecedented, and the current focus to ensure these assets and technologies will benefit society is an incredible opportunity for the region,” said Walter Ulrich, President and CEO of HTC.

Energy and IT Acceleration Resident, Mariam Jacob, Inducted into
Golden Key International Honor Society
Mariam Jacob, an Energy and IT Resident at HTC, was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society. Membership in this prestigious international honor society is awarded to students who perform in the top 15% of their graduating class. While in business school, Mariam also served as the National VP of Marketing of the MBA Women International's Student Leadership Team, and was the founder and president of the Healthcare and Life Technologies Forum at UH. Mariam will graduate in December with her MBA, with focus on marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship.
