Medicine is supposed to make you better, not worse. For people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance sometimes the medicine can actually be harmful as it might contain gluten.  

To-date, there is no US regulation to label non-active ingredients in medication (including gluten).  And this can cause difficulty for those who must avoid gluten.
