His publications have examined topics such as: authority, earnings, working conditions, part-time work and work-family conflict, and entry into male-dominated occupations. Jerry has authored/co-authored or edited/co-edited 10 books and journal special issues as well as 80 published academic papers. His books include: The Changing Face of Medicine (with Ann K. Boulis), The Time Divide (with Kathleen Gerson), and Revolving Doors: Sex Segregation and Women’s Careers. Jerry has also received over 30 research grants. Jerry received the Work-Life Legacy Award in 2014. The Award recognized his scholarly accomplishments and his contributions to the work-family field, overall.
