Orange Line Extension (OLX) Open Houses

The METRO Orange Line Extension (OLX) is a proposed extension of the METRO Orange Line. OLX would extend service from the future Burnsville Parkway Station to the Kenrick Avenue Park & Ride in Lakeville. The extension would include additional stations and add approximately five miles to the Orange Line. Burnsville Center is a potential station location.

Dakota County, an Orange Line funding partner, is currently seeking input on where OLX stations should be located. Your input will also help determine travel demand along I-35, the routing, and accessibility needs and opportunities around potential stations.

There will be two upcoming open houses where you can learn about the project and share your opinions.

Thursday, October 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Kenrick Park & Ride

Tuesday, October 17th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Burnhaven Library

You can also participate online!

The construction is associated with the 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown project, which includes infrastructure for the Orange Line.

Transit riders can expect detours on Route 2, Route 9 and Route 39 while the Franklin and Portland Avenue bridges are closed.
