OK CityScape recreates OKC skyline with LEGOS Come get a bird’s eye view of downtown Oklahoma City at the 10th annual Downtown in December, presented by Devon Energy. For the second time, OK CityScape will add to the flavor and fun with an exhibit of downtown’s buildings and attractions built with over 2 million LEGO bricks. OK CityScape is now bigger than ever. This year’s exhibit theme, “Ultra Galactic Megafantastic” features out-of-this-world additions like lasers, spaceships, aliens and much more. Of course, everything ties into the wonderful recreations of the Oklahoma City skyline all made from toy bricks. “OK Cityscape is a unique model we like to call venture philanthropy. With the help of underwriters, sponsors and donors, we have been able to build an interactive exhibit that is open to the public each holiday season and serves as a perpetual funding source for OKC Educare,” said Rachel Hernandez, President. “This year’s exhibit features the newly remodeled Myriad Botanical Gardens and INTEGRIS Baptist Hospital. We have made additions to the Devon Tower, added a flying UFO and a trackless car system.” Located on Automobile Alley at 1100 N. Broadway Ave. OK CityScape runs from Nov. 19 – Dec. 31. (Monday through Saturday - 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays - 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-12 and children under 3 get in free. Proceeds from this event benefit Oklahoma City Educare, which promotes school readiness by implementing proven programming aimed at preventing the achievement gap from taking root in young children.
