Our Essential Staff, Our Essential Services, and New York State determined that human services workers are essential employees. This is recognition that our community members will be relying on us even more. Across our programs and services, our staff are responding to critical needs by continuing to provide meals for seniors, home care for seniors and individuals with special needs, and the most up-to-date information and resources in languages that our communities know. (You can listen in at AM1480/AM1380 at 2 PM in Cantonese and 7 PM in Mandarin.) We are calling community members one-by-one to check on their well-being, and we changed most of our services to operate remotely. We are also continuing to provide services and programs in a modified manner, ensuring our communities complete the Census, advocating for federal and state relief packages, and fighting against discrimination. This work would not be possible without the incredible dedication of our staff. Our staff continue to show up and ensure the safety and health of our communities. We are grateful for the many hours spent and that are yet needed in service of our mission. We invite you to read more about the impacts CPC has made in the last few weeks below.
