We have lots of exciting announcements so let's dive right in shall we?


We are throwing a Party!

The Kickstarter fundraiser for our film will be held on Sunday July 17th from 6-10 p.m.

This special event is sponsored through Andersonville's Chamber of Commerce as the official closing event of their Green Week Festival!

Festivities will be held at Alley Cat Comics located at 5304 N Clark St. Near the corner of Clark and Foster (Literally in the Alley!)

We will be hosting a raffle with excellent prizes, and serving delicious foods, deserts, beers and wine.

We will also be hosting live paintings from some very talented local artists that will be given away as raffle prizes.

There will certainly be many more amazing things included that we are yet to plan, so stay tuned for updates!

We will be serving wine from Bin 36, locally brewed craft beers, Bun Pow Buns courtesy of Anne Kostroski (Crumb Bread/Bun Pow) and Mike Bancroft (Co-op Sauce/Bun Pow), Lucila's Homemade alfajores, a traditional Argentinian treat, Authentic Italian delights made from locally sourced products care of Adriana Marzullo of Zullo's Inc. and more yet to be announced!


Raffle Prizes will include:

A care package from City Micro Farms (A Chicago Based Aquaponics Facility) which will include Aquaponically grown basil and mint plants, and freshly made sweet Basil dressing.

A gift box variety pack of Mike Bancraft's Co-Op Sauces.

Gift boxes of Lucila's homemade Alfajores.

A series of paintings made from local artists, and a select series painted live at the event.

A Sustainable Reality on the Airwaves!

We are pleased to announce that on July 12th, 2011 we will be launching our new web pages for our project!

A Sustainable Reality.com will highlight our progress documenting The Plant, the facility highlighted upon in our Kickstarter video. Plant Chicago Official Site

Redefining Roots.com will be an on going video blog where we display our progress connecting various individual and community sustainability projects while creating an environment where people can get connected and sign up to volunteer!
