Dear Brewmaster,

I have been a loyal patron since your Reno location was built, I love the food, the beers, the staff and am just a mega fan of the brewery. The only gripe I can come up with is why can't I open a can of Whoop Ass Wit? I love the Whoop Ass and so does everyone I bring there. I have an inside source that tells me a canning line resides somewhere in your brewery. Please, please, please release cans of Whoop Ass so my friends and I can enjoy it everywhere.

Keep up the great work, your biggest fan,

Bob K.

Dear Bob,

Stay tuned...

Cheers,

Tom

No blarney here! St. Patrick's Day kicks off Stout Week, where you can enjoy flights of stouts featuring an array of deliciously dark roasted malts that range from subtle to wicked. Kick it over the top with special cheese pairings and the result is like an Irish jig being danced on your tongue.

Stout Week featured brews:

  • Outlaw Milk Stout
  • Mollie's Irish Stout
  • Death-By-Chocolate Stout
  • Russian Imperial Stout
  • Mollie's Irish Stout (NITRO)
  • Little Cowboy Coffee Stout (NITRO)

In addition, we will have rare offerings of:

  • Barrel Aged Sour Milk Stout
  • Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout
  • Imperial Bourbon Chocolate-Cherry Stout

The luck doesn't stop there. We will have special food pairings available all week to enjoy with these 9 hand-crafted stouts. Ask your server for a suggestion.

If they answer in Gaelic, you should probably just go with it...

What’s your name and how long have you been at Great Basin?

I'm Alicia, and I've been at Great Basin for over 3 1/2 years.

What do you do at Great Basin?

I am a server but quickly becoming a sort of "jack of all trades".

What's your favorite part about your job?

Seeing my coworkers and regulars! I love them all, they make coming into work so awesome!

Tell us about the first memorable craft beer you ever had...

It was Cerveza ChiliBeso from Great Basin Brewing Company! I had one taste and was hooked. That day, I brought home 2 growlers and shared it with all my friends!

If you were a Great Basin brew, what brew would you be?

I would have to say the 20th Anniversary Ale, because it's so unique and and layered with a little spice in at the end!
