CON-CON OR NOT - JANUARY 9TH MEETING

Keith Dunn of the John Birch Society will be our guest speaker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9th.  The topic will be the Dangers of holding an Article V (Con-Con) Convention.

The JBS has opposed calls for a modern-day Constitutional Convention for decades and seeks to work through Congress for Constitutional amendments rather than through the state legislatures to amend the U.S. Constitution. Many view a con-con as a quick way to pass amendments they think will stop the big-government juggernaut. Why would politicians suddenly start following an amended Constitution after ignoring and violating the Constitution for so long? The remedy so desperately needed to return our country to good government is to enforce the Constitution, not amend it.

There is a big push right now to hold an Article V Convention.  Some of the most popular conservative voices are calling for this.  Mark Levin has written a book dealing with this issue.  Please come out and hear another side to this issue and then make up your mind.

We will have information on the John Birch Society, the new edition of the American Patriot Newspaper, and other pertinent information.  This will be our first meeting of the new year.  Please resolve to come out, support our group, volunteer to help with one or more of the projects, and let's make 2014 a banner year in our efforts to restore our country back to its constitutional roots!

We meet at the Taylor Building, 128 SW Birley Ave.  Lake City.  This is on the corner of Birley and U.S. 90; approx. 3 miles west of the I-75 interchange in Lake City.  For more information, call John, 386-935-1705 or Sharon 386-935-0821.

Calling All Patriots

Election Actions,is a collective effort to bring strength to those political races which feature candidates with the values of limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets. As a giant block of voters we can make a difference and win elections with the candidates this country so desperately needs.  A successful 2014 election year is crucial if our country is to regain the political vision that reveres limited government and individual freedom. These candidates are vetted by several national patriot groups, along with grassroots groups in the state, as worthy of your time and money.
The first race we are featuring is the United States Senatorial race in Texas. Republican incumbent Senator John Cornyn whose voting record includes voting for T.A.R.P. and to end debate and allow Senate Democrats to re-insert funding for ObamaCare into the Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government, a de facto vote to fund ObamaCare. He is being challenged by Congressman Steve Stockman, an avid grassroots supporter whose voting record is consistent with limited and accountable government. (For complete voting record go to http://votesmart.org/candidate/21703/steve-stockman#.UsbajE0o6M8)
Even though you are not a resident of Texas YOU CAN HELP STEVE STOCKMAN GET ELECTED! Please go to his website and pledge your support by making a donation. REMEMBER: no amount is too small! Five or ten dollars makes a huge difference when thousands of supporters chip in. Or you can volunteer to make phone calls from your cell phone. Whatever you decide GET INVOLVED!  2014 is our opportunity to throw out big government politicians such as John Cornyn and replace them with legislators who adhere to our values.

Primary Election date: March 4, 2014.
