Welcome to Soilco's Spring Newsletter. We trust you are all busy this spring, and without getting too wet. Soilco has had a few things happen over the last few months that we hope you will find of interest. Mark and Mal have been busy preparing for the release of our dyed timber range. Stock is now available of woodchip, screened to 15-20mm and dyed either red or black. In the New Year we will be introducing a dyed timber mulch as well.

We believe that these products will compare favourably in price, size uniformity and colour to anything currently on the market.

We have recently lost a valuable member of the Soilco team, Robert Faulkner – Moses. Moses had been with Soilco for 15 years and will be sorely missed. He has been a long time favourite with our customers, identified by them as the “driver with the beard.”

While at Soilco Moses has driven an estimated 2 million km and driven a number of “iconic” Soilco vehicles.

Moses finished in August for a career change. We are sure that those of you that knew him would wish him all the best in his new life.
 

One of Soilco’s most enduring products has had a makeover. Turf Special has been reformulated and now is Certified to AS4419 (Natural Soil). It consists of 80% VENM soil : 20% Certified GO Compost; Gypsum and Multigro Fertiliser.

• Gypsum benefits turf by enhancing the ability to absorb nutrients, and improving water holding capacity of the soil.
• Multigro is a balanced fertiliser which provides nitrogen and other nutrients that turf needs to establish a lush green lawn.

Camp Quality is one of Soilcos preferred charities. One of the great things about it is that the funds raised come back to Camp Quality Illawarra office to support kids and their families from our local area that have cancer. Tony is part of team Shoalhaven, which this year sent 5 cars on the bash that started in Tamworth. The bash wound its way up into Queensland, across to the sunshine coast and then west to finish in Warialda.

The duration of the bash is 7 days and covers nearly 3000 kms . Much fun was had with wet, slippery roads and water crossings but all cars finished the event in one piece . Team Shoalhaven raised $44400 and Wollongong over $70000, totaling nearly $115000 for our area. A fantastic result  for such an exciting event.
Note::  Picture on right is the girls from Team Shoalhaven. It was their first year and they took out best themed car.
