Click here Thank You for Supporting CPC Brooklyn Harvest Moon Benefit! The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) held our Brooklyn Harvest Moon Benefit on the evening of October 23 at the New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant in Brooklyn. The event celebrated 45 years of transformative programs through CPC Brooklyn Community Center and honored five outstanding individuals who have provided outstanding service and leadership in the Brooklyn community. Congratulations to our honorees: Cristina Gonzalez, Principal of PS 94; Kin Ng, Bureau Chief at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office; Dr. Qingliang Tony Wang, Director of the Jaffe Comprehensive Stroke Center at Maimonides Medical Center; and Lawrence and Teresa Wu, Owners of Peking Food LLC. The event raised over $90,000 to advance CPC's mission of uplifting and empowering generations of Asian American, immigrant, and low-income communities. These funds will enable CPC Brooklyn Community Services to continue making a meaningful impact on the lives of more than 20,000 Brooklyn residents every day, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. We were honored to celebrate our benefit with New York State Attorney General Letitia James, New York State Senators Jabari Brisport and Iwen Chu, New York City Council Members Alexa Avilés and Susan Zhuang. We also welcomed representatives from the offices of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Assembly Members Lester Chang and Marcela Mitaynes, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, and the New York City Department of Education. Thank you to all our Board Members, staff, sponsors, supporters, and allies!
