This fun Open Day at Bay Pond Educational Nature Reserve, Godstone, features pond dipping, manned bird hide, bug hunting, dragonfly identification and more. Trust goods will also be on sale and refreshments will be available for visitors to buy. Simply meet at the Bay Pond Nature Reserve, sign posted from Godstone High Street. Children will love the weekly Teddy Bears' Picnic at Claremont Landscape Garden, Esher. Little ones simply need to bring along their favourite Teddy and they can enjoy a tasty picnic along with an afternoon of storytelling in a cosy Thatched Cottage. The storytelling takes place every Thursday in June and starts at 1.30pm. Normal admission applies, plus £1.00 per child.

The Taste of Summer event at RHS Garden Wisley, Woking, is great fun for the whole family, with cream teas, brass bands and a WI ‘Sweet Tooth’ baking display. Plus, there are plenty of family activities including tug-of-war and welly wanging. There will also be grow your own demonstrations and advice as well as talks by celebrity gardeners Diarmuid Gavin and James Wong.

The Birmingham Stage Company at the Richmond Theatre is proud to present Rudyard Kipling’s timeless classic story about the loveable Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the exotic jungle by a family of wild wolves. With Sher Khan the tiger on the prowl, Baloo and Bagheera agree to take the boy to the man village for his safety but there are dangers and surprises on the way!

This season we got talking to Surrey Water Babies Director, Jo Christmas, and local mum, Ali Blakemore about how swimming with your baby can help with Post Natal Depression, "I started Water Babies lessons with Archie when he was six months old. Right from the start he loved it, being a very active little boy. Soon we were both really relaxing and enjoying it, and I felt I was able to get to know him so much better."

Children’s charity, Small Steps Project and maternity brand, Eva Alexander are holding a massive clothing drive, in aid of children, living in poverty on rubbish dumps around the world. They are calling out for lightweight shirts and pants, sturdy shoes and boots, sun hats and sun glasses that are used but still in good condition. The two hope that by redistributing the clothing they are not only helping hundreds of children but are also helping ease global waste.
