In recognition of World Malaria Day, April 25, the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI) is joining with others to call for sustaining the gains being made in fighting malaria, including in the research and development arena.

Showcase: Advancements in US Science and Technology in Malaria (April 25)
On Capitol Hill, meet several of MVI’s US-based partners engaged in cutting-edge malaria vaccine research. Dr. Rhoel Dinglasan from Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute; Dr. Mary Galinski from Emory University; Dr. Malcolm Gardner from Seattle BioMed, as well as MVI’s Dr. David Kaslow will be present. EU Parliament Working Lunch & Reception (April 25)
In partnership with the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, International Federation of the Red Cross, Norwegian Red Cross, Red Cross EU Office, Malaria Consortium, and Malaria No More UK, MVI is co-hosting a working lunch and reception on malaria. There will be an impressive line-up of speakers, including Dr. Tsiri Agbenyega, Chair of the RTS,S Clinical Trials Partnership Committee, who will speak on the importance of malaria R&D.
