MyAnalytics is a Microsoft Office 365 application that analyses everyday data from a staff's mailbox and calendar to provide insights into how time is spent at work, bringing opportunity to make data-driven decisions towards better time and focus management. MyAnalytics makes these insights available to staff through weekly email digests, an Outlook add-in, and a personalised dashboard. MyAnalytics is private and secure. Only the individual staff member has access to his or her own insights report. Neither the manager nor anyone else at the University have access to a staff's personal dashboard. Advisory on the latest Windows 10 version upgradeStaff with computers running Windows 10 may now upgrade to the latest version at their convenience. It can be installed via the Software Center. The installation may take up to 2 hours, during which time the computer will be unavailable for use. During the final stages of installation, staff will have to click “Next” when prompted to finish the upgrade. Some staff may also experience a restart after the first login following the upgrade. Using fax? What you need to do to prevent FaxsploitDid you know that fax machines could be the next target of a cyber attack? Dubbed as Faxsploit, the recently discovered flaw allows attackers to enter the network simply by sending a malicious fax message. If your department uses an old-fashioned, standalone fax machine, Service Desk offers ways to further secure your use of the University fax service. A new look for Massey Uni appThe Massey Uni app has been refreshed with a new look and feel and an additional side menu to access features. The app is designed to provide students with essential information while on the move. Staff and visiting guests needing information on campus maps and library services may also download the app to access available features for them. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices. To download, search Massey Uni from the App Store or Google Play Store. OneMassey is now Internet Explorer-compatibleStaff may now use Internet Explorer to browse through the OneMassey intranet. The display issue on Internet Explorer mentioned in a previous ITS Notification is now resolved. OneMassey remains compatible with the desktop and laptop versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Monthly Windows updatesPilot computers may manually install Windows updates from 18 September with a deadline of 19 September 12am. Staff may manually install Windows updates from 2 October with a deadline of 9 October 12am. Upcoming network outagesNetwork services will be unavailable in select campus areas as network components are replaced. The outage will affect access to Internet, Wi-Fi, shared drives, printing, phones, and EFTPOS terminals.
