Hello there!

Sending you this weekly newsletter gives me a chance to surface briefly. These last few weeks have been pretty repetitive for me. I get up, I type words into my computer for 10 hours, I go to bed again.

The Offscreen rebrand is coming along, but there is still lots to do. Until I see a light at the end of the tunnel, there won't be any exciting news to report from here. 😉

Have a great week everyone!

Kai

This Weekʼs Line-Up

Waterproof, 'theft-proof' backpack
01

The material of the Code 10 is said to be completely waterproof. The backpack also comes with a set of smart features that makes theft less likely (I wouldn't say 'theft-proof'). Tech gadgets fit into a separate but attachable sleeve inside the bag. I really like the sound of all these features, and the design is appealing too. (Currently on Indiegogo.)

Automated Gmail follow-ups
02

Ok, use this sparsely and with good intentions only: If No Reply is a Gmail extension that allows you to automatically send follow-up emails if the recipient of the initial email has not responded after x days. This can be helpful when reaching out to busy folks but – as we all know – there is nothing more annoying than unsolicited emails from sales folks. So exercise restraint, please. 👍

A bowl-shaped bluetooth speaker
03

This bowl-shaped bluetooth speaker can serve as a catchall for change, keys, or your phone, without affecting sound quality. A nice way to hide a wireless speaker in your home.

Create a lightweight help centre
04

Answer frequently asked questions about your product or service with a help centre/knowledge base. Haash is a simple, lightweight solution to collect Q&As with some powerful admin features.

Hand-printed desk calendar
05

12 designers got together to create a lovely set of letterpressed cards, one for each month of the year. A nice little present for those who need to add some real craft to their world of screens and pixels.

A résumé builder
06

Know someone who's on the job hunt? CakeResume makes building a résumé a piece of cake. Simply use the preconfigured building blocks to create your online profile – then export it for printing or sending as a PDF. (Still in beta, I believe.)
