Linked below is the State Shipments for November 2019.

Here are a few key findings:

  • Consumer retail spending on beer increased by an estimated 2.7% during November 2019.
  • Beer volume grew by 2.1% during November 2019, which had one fewer selling day than November 2018.
  • On a selling day adjusted basis, shipment volume was up 7% in November – the strongest adjusted trend of any month thus far in 2019.
  • November’s strong performance was driven primarily by hard seltzers. The FMB segment’s volume, including hard seltzers, has grown by an estimated 40% year-to-date through November.
  • Additionally, while the weather this November was normal, weather conditions during November 2018 were adverse, resulting in depressed volumes during the month to which we are comparing now.  This results in November’s performance appearing a little stronger than it otherwise might.
