These next few weeks offer a splendid look into the history and culture of Santa Fe during the holiday season.  Maybe its Christmas at the Palace, the Young Natives Artists Holiday Show and Sale or maybe even Las Posadas that you are interested in seeing.  Either way, here's our holiday blog detailing all the fun activities. We hope to see you during this festive time of year and if not, we wish for you and yours a peaceful, joyous time wherever you may be.  

The Botanical Garden stays open late the month of December to celebrate the holiday season with lights, music and beverages. Here's the link to purchase your tickets in advance and also to see why this is a perfect way to spend the evening with your entire family.  

This museum is one of our favorites year round.  So, if you have the luck to be here on December 20, we definitely think you should stop by and see the famous Baumann Marionettes.  For young and old alike, we encourage you to let the child in you share in all the fun. Please remember that the State Museums will be closed on Christmas Day.

It's well known that when visiting Santa Fe on Christmas Eve you must bundle up and participate in the Farolito Walk on Canyon Road.  Such a beautiful event with twinkling lights, the farolitos and the luminarios (bonfires) ablaze.  Don't forget to bring our music sheet so that you can sing the carols as you pause to warm yourselves by the luminarios.  Start the evening off in our lobby with hot chocolate, cider and cookies to help keep you warm on this chilly night.  

Afterwards, plan to partake in Midnight Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.  The doors open at 10pm and carols are sung to help pass the time, until service begins. The church fills quickly, so be sure to arrive early. Such a beautiful way to welcome in Christmas Day.
