Introducing Our New Team Members!

Over the past few months, our clinic team has expanded and we are excited to introduce you to some new friendly faces that include two physical therapists and two physical therapy aides.

Curtis Dodson
PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Nick Hadinger
PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Our new physical therapists are Curtis Dodson and Nick Hadinger.  Both completed clinical rotations here at LOPT with our director Shawn Dailey during their doctorate of physical therapy programs. Curtis completed his graduate degree at George Fox University, and his undergraduate at Oregon State University where he played football for two years. He is also an experienced and enthusiastic power lifter, starting the sport when he was 13. He enjoys the opportunity to treat patients of all kinds, but especially athletes from weight lifting sports that share his passion. Nick completed his graduate program at Northern Arizona University, during which he had a clinical rotation working with NFL and MLB athletes. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Arizona, where he swam competitively and participated in the 2012 Olympic trials.  We are excited to have an experienced swimmer on our team to broaden our area of expertise and help treat the many swimming athletes we see.

Kimbery Sapienza
Physical Therapy Aide
Meredith Truax
Physical Therapy Aide

We also have two new support staff members - Meredith Truax and Kimberly Sapienza.  Meredith, a Beaverton native, is a graduate of Oregon State University where she received her degree in Kinesiology. She grew up participating in cross country and dressage, and is still very active in both sports. Kimberly came to us all the way from University of Florida where she played with the women’s soccer team for a year and received her degree in mathematics. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has plans to return to school for physical therapy.

Therapeutic Associates L.O. Physical Therapy is Now an Official Partner of E-Force Football

Recently we have partnered with E-Force Football to provide medical coverage for various events they hold during the year. E-Force is football performance program founded by Ryan DePalo of University of Oregon, who was soon joined by Alex Brink of Washing State University. Their coaches consist of Division I standouts, many of which went on to play in the NFL. They hold training camps, offer position specific coaching, and form teams to participate in 7v7 tournaments. So far this year we have had the opportunity to send two of our certified athletic trainers (ATCs) to the Memorial weekend 7v7 tournament at Clackamas High School to provide first aide and medical coverage, as well as send an ATC and a physical therapist to cover the first annual Northwest Best Collegiate Showcase.  Represented at the showcase were over 10 Division I schools including UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, and Boise State. It was held at Madison high school and hosted over 200 of the Northwest’s top high school football recruits. Providing medical and first aid coverage at these events gave us the opportunity to connect with and educate student athletes on a range of important topics from acute care of injuries, to prevention and recovery strategies.
