Hi there,

In a world of VC hype and often over-inflated tech valuations, Octopus Deploy has popped its head up to reveal a genuine cashflow business. It's a little known Aussie success: 25,000 customers including Nasa, Disney, Microsoft and Xero and collectively more than 180 million automated deployments under its tentacles. After 10 years of bootstrapping, the DevOps automation company this week secured a chunky US$172.5 million in venture capital.

It’s the latest in a line of big investments into local tech companies as investors search for better yield than that on offer in markets crushed by low interest rates, alongside the strong appetite for proven tech companies globally.

We also share an interview with NZ Ministry of Health's tech boss following the country's announcement that it will abolish 20 district health boards and create a single national health system.

Enjoy the read,
