Barnard College Schedule Update - Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Dear Claremont resident:

Thank you for your patience this past week as we moved equipment on and off the Barnard College construction site. As you can tell, we are well underway with rock excavation and still expect to finish this phase around the end of August.

Some of you have inquired about additional work happening on Claremont Avenue that is unrelated to Barnard. According to information we've received and fliers posted on the poles along Claremont, two projects are underway.

The first, near Claremont and 119th Street, appears to be some type of improvement to the wireless networks in the area. The second project, as posted by the NYC Department of Design and Construction, is the repaving of Claremont Avenue from Tiemann Place to 116th Street. According to the fliers, the work is slated to occur this Wednesday and Thursday, July 27-28, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.  More information is available on the fliers.

Hope you are staying cool in this heat.  If you are lucky enough to be away this summer, you may be interested to see the progress that has been made on the building project.  A time-lapse of the entire deconstruction phase is available here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMUA966kduY&feature=youtu.be.

Construction Schedule

Our schedule continues to be weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
