Hunger Games opens tonight at Harkins Theatres

Fans of The Hunger Games series of books have been anxiously waiting for the film version to debut on the silver screen. The first of three films will finally hit theatres tonight at midnight. Tickets for The Hunger Games are on sale at Harkins Theatres’ box office and online at harkinstheatres.com for midnight showings.

The Hunger Games follows main character, Katniss in a future version of the United States of America, now called Panem. The Hunger Games are broadcasted throughout Panem as 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors. When Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as her district’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.

As has become a tradition at Harkins, die hard fans will likely show up early for the midnight shows, dressed as their favorite character and will keep themselves entertained by creating a party-like atmosphere with their fellow fans to celebrate what is sure to become another film phenomenon.

It's giveaway time!!
We're giving away tickets to see Hunger Games at Harkins Theatres in Bricktown, along with a loyalty cup good for $1 sodas through the end of 2012. Just complete this online survey and we'll choose one lucky winner at random. Good luck!

Pink Martini

Thomas Lauderdale returns with his amazing "little orchestra" of talented musicians. While drawing inspiration from the romantic Hollywood musicals of the 40s and 50s, Pink Martini adds a global perspective by championing beautiful music from around the world.

"Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure...if the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we'd be that band."  -- Thomas Lauderdale, bandleader/pianist

Traveling with 12 musicians, Pink Martini performs its multilinugal repertorie on concert stages and with symphony orchestras throughout Europe, Asia, Greece, Turkey, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Australia and New Zealand and North America.
