About the Show:

Kiara has gone AWOL for the first time. She comes upon an abandoned building where she hopes to spend the night. But she is not alone. Soon she meets Marlené and friends who take her back in time to witness tales of family, friendship, loss, despair, and more. Kiara wants to run again; she also wants to see what happens next. Will they survive? Will the future be different? Or will life always be this way? A simple “place for the night” becomes much more as Kiara learns from Marlené and her friends what it means to be young and in foster care.
