Welcome to our summer edition of Inspire. Just like the weather, we have some sizzling opportunities for you including our Glee Club Challenge and 15th Anniversary Anthem, not to mention the summer Finales of Step into Dance and Jack Petchey's "Speak Out" Challenge.

Step into Dance's finest to appear at Sadler's Wells

There are now less than three weeks to go until Step LIVE 2014 – the end-of-year showcase from Step into Dance. Groups from nine London-wide Borough Events have been selected to perform at Sadler's Wells on Saturday 5th July. For more details, and to book your ticket, please visit:

Speakers take to the West End to "Speak Out"

The Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge Grand Final will take place on Monday 14th July 2014 at London’s Piccadilly Theatre where 16 speakers will compete to be crowned Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge Champion 2014 and win a prize worth £5,000.

We have got a very important birthday coming up - The Jack Petchey Foundation will be celebrating its 15th year supporting young people and we want to hear from you. What ideas do you have to celebrate our 15th Birthday?

National Table Tennis Day launches

This year Table Tennis England and Sing London are working together to launch National Table Tennis Day on Thursday 17th July 2014 and we want you to get involved by organising your own spectacular event. It could be a fancy dress competition, bat decorating or a teacher versus pupils challenge.

Calling all songwriters- we want to celebrate.

We are on the look out for a soundtrack to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Believin' for another year.....

The Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge is back and it's bigger and better than ever. Not only is there the opportunity to work with industry professionals, win a share of the £5,000 prize fund and perform in front of celebrity judges, this year's winners will have the opportunity to perform at the London Palladium in March 2015. Entries close Friday 27th June 2014

Partnership continues to grow Lifesaver register

The Jack Petchey Foundation is supporting Anthony Nolan’s Register & Be A Lifesaver (R&Be) programme which educates 16 to 18 year olds about bone marrow, blood and organ donation, which has inspired thousands of young people to register to help save a life.

Funding for School Planners continues...

Subsidies of up to £500 are still available through The School Planner Company Ltd for the coming academic year.

Our Featured Award Winner Is...

Patricia Kamara

16 year old Sydenham School student Patricia Kamara has spent her time in Year 11 managing her own dance company ‘New Vision’ alongside preparing for her GCSE's.

Patricia has choreographed and organised several public performances both in school and beyond and was recognised for her efforts with an Achievement Award.

What Next? National Citizen Service - It all starts with Yes

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a way for 15 to 17 year olds living in England and Northern Ireland to make extraordinary friendships, learn the skills they don’t teach you in class and create unforgettable memories.

The programme runs outside of term time and offers a fantastic opportunity to bolster your CV, make your UCAS application stand out and to gain skills employers want, as well as helping your local community through volunteering.

The scheme operates throughout the year during the school holidays in the Spring, Summer and Autumn and contains four phases. The programme will never cost you more than £50 so what are you waiting for....
