Staff using Adobe software will need to download the new licence for their software to continue working. Computer labs are changing to Windows 10 and Office 2016In preparation for Summer School 2016, Information Technology Services has started re-imaging computers in general teaching and learning spaces. Re-imaging means that everything is removed from the computer and only standard software and software already requested by Paper Coordinators is re-installed. This year, lab computers will change from Windows 7 with Office 2010 to Windows 10 with Office 2016. If you use non-standard software for teaching in computer labs, please make sure that your Paper Coordinator has asked for this software to be reinstalled on lab computers—the deadline was Monday 3 October 2016. Staff may need to reset their desk phones manually next MondayPlanned maintenance on Sunday, 20 November will affect Lync/Skype for Business services and desk phones in particular. As a result:

Inactive equipment will be disconnected from Massey's networkITS is cleaning up the IT equipment database to reduce security risks. Any equipment that hasn't connected to Massey's network within the past year will be marked as inactive and disconnected from Massey's network. The ITS Service Desk can reconnect inactive equipment to the network on request. Reminder: New computers will have Windows 10 instead of Windows 7Staff ordering new computers should check the list of software that has been tested on Windows 10 before placing their order to see if the software they require is compatible with Windows 10. Staff can ask for access to a Windows 10 computer to test any unlisted software by contacting the ITS Service Desk.
