CPC Hosts City Hall Day of Action Calling for Investment in Immigrant and Working Families On May 12th, CPC brought together more than 200 staff members, community residents, youth leaders, and advocates for a City Hall Day of Action as part of CPC's annual City Advocacy Season. Participants marched from CPC One to Foley Square to call on city leaders to invest in immigrant and low-income communities and advance policies that reflect the needs of working families across New York City. CPC Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services Hosts Provider Appreciation Luncheon On May 30th, CPC's Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services (ECLW) hosted a Provider Appreciation Luncheon at 100 Feast & Lounge in Chinatown. Over 210 licensed family child care providers and assistants attended the event. This marked ECLW’s first luncheon dedicated to recognizing and celebrating early care and education providers and expressing our deep appreciation for their ongoing dedication to early education and child care. CPC and North Arrow Discuss What It Means to Be Data-Driven On May 5th, CPC and North Arrow hosted a virtual discussion about how data helps us allocate resources, understand community needs, and strengthen our advocacy. The session featured Wayne Ho, President and CEO of CPC, and Edgar Pereira, CPC's Chief Program Officer, who shared CPC's data journey, including the initial problem we aimed to address, how we formed our team and partnerships, and how we engaged our staff and donors throughout the process.

CPC Community Health Services Joins Thousands at the 41st Annual AIDS Walk New York On May 17th, CPC Community Health Services participated in the 41st annual AIDS Walk New York in Central Park, joining over 10,000 participants to raise funds for people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. The event featured performances, free HIV testing, free food, and a dance party. More than 50 staff members, community partners, and family members walked together to help break down stigma and amplify the voices of those they serve.
CPC Queens AAPI Heritage Month Benefit Celebrates Leadership, Culture, and Community Investment On May 28th, CPC hosted our annual Queens Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Benefit at Northern Gala in Flushing, bringing together over 400 philanthropic, corporate, government, and community leaders to celebrate AAPI leadership and raise funds to support CPC programs. This year’s Community Service Award was presented to Leona Chin, a community organizer and founder of Kissena Synergy, while the Heritage Award was presented to Jay Lau, Esq., an attorney licensed in New York and New Jersey. CPC Leadership Council Hosts Mahjong Night Fundraiser On May 30th, the CPC Leadership Council, a tight-knit community of business and nonprofit leaders who seek to advance CPC’s mission, hosted its first-ever Mahjong Night fundraiser during AAPI Heritage Month. The event brought together 80 new and familiar faces of all ages and skill levels for an evening of friendly competition and community, all in support of the Asian American, immigrant, and low-income New Yorkers who benefit from CPC's services.
